A Nest Mini offered to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music subscribers

As the holiday season approaches, Google wants to play Santa Claus. The firm has decided to offer a Nest Mini device to YouTube Music, Google Play Music and Premium YouTube subscribers, Begeek reports.

In recent days, several users have announced that they have received this gift from the American giant. Valid until January 24, 2020, this offer applies to "users who have an individual, student or family paid subscription [...] YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium or Google Play Music as of December 4, 2019."

A desire to retain users

So you don't have to subscribe now to hope to enjoy it. But if you're already a subscriber to one of these services and haven't received the gift yet, you can check your eligibility. Just check your inbox with the YouTube account: Google should have written to you. On the other hand, people who have already benefited from a promotional offer in 2019 will not be able to take advantage of it.

This marketing practice, which aims to build user loyalty, is not new. Tech giants regularly give small gifts to their customers, subscribers and users. In this case, it would seem fair that Google decided to look at things in a big way. Indeed, many countries (Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Norway, Italy, Sweden, Australia) seem to be affected by the offer.
