Netflix tops the most lucrative apps of the decade, Facebook's most downloaded

Netflix has not experienced the crisis in the last ten years. The streaming video platform tops the list of mobile apps on which users have spent the most money over the past decade. That's according to a ranking compiled by the analytics firm App Annie and published on Monday.

Dating app Tinder comes in second place, followed by Us music streaming service Pandora Music. Spotify and YouTube are 7th and 8th respectively. In France, it is Deezer who rises to the first place, ahead of Adopt a guy, says BFMTV.

Facebook's most downloaded apps

On the number of downloads since 2010, no surprise: Facebook was the most downloaded application by mobile users. And the next three also belong to the social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg. Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram follow. Snapchat comes 5th, Skype 6th. Note that the TikTok application, although launched quite recently, rises to 7th place.

Finally, App Annie has established the list of the most downloaded games of the decade on smartphone. Subway Surfers came first "thanks to its strong adoption in India." It is followed by the famous Candy Crush Saga and Temple Run 2. In terms of revenue generated, Clash of Clans is a big winner.
